Audison bit DMI - MOST interface with TOSLINK output for OEM integration
The Audison bit DMI is a MOST interface that enables direct, digital connection of Audison bit processors and Audison amplifiers with digital input to factory fiber-optic multimedia systems. It transmits the audio signal loss-free, while retaining OEM head unit control functions such as volume, balance, and tone controls, as well as hands-free calling, navigation, and parking sensors. Available at Carhifi.shop.
Technical Highlights
- MOST optical input: Connects to the OEM multimedia system via fiber optic cable.
- TOSLINK optical output (S/PDIF): Stereo PCM 16 Bit at 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz (system dependent) for Audison devices with digital input.
- USB-Mini-B (2.0): Digital control and PC connection for setup.
- Configurable and updatable: Programming via USB with suitable software for MOST vehicles.
- Automatic start logic: Switches on/off with the vehicle's MOST system and provides a remote-out signal.
- OEM integration: OEM controls remain fully usable; system sounds and service signals (hands-free system, navigation, parking sensors) are passed through.
- Software compatibility: Windows-based (Win2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8).
Installation & Compatibility
The bit DMI is integrated into the vehicle architecture via fiber optic (MOST) and transmits the audio signal digitally via TOSLINK to your Audison bit processor or an Audison amplifier with digital input. Full OEM control is maintained, allowing you to operate the system as usual. The remote output simplifies the activation of downstream components.
